Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge-June 29-July 5

Hi,
This week's Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge is Anything Goes.  I just got Paper Smooches Botanicals 2 and I really, really wanted to use it. :)

   
So I made this:

The  background was stenciled with distress inks.  I also used Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler and Green Thumb. The watering can was stamped, cut out and adhered it to the card base.  I used some Pretty Pink Posh Springmix Sequins, these have been out of stock for awhile and they arrived the other day.  Yay!  Love this mix so much. :) The stamping was done with Hero Arts inks.

Simon Says Stamp Work It Wednesday-June 2014

Hello again,

Simon Says Stamps Work It Wednesday Challenge for June 2014 which really has no theme. :)  I made this card because I love hydrangeas, my husband says I can't plant anymore, there is no more room. ;)  LOL So I guess I have to be satisfied with making them!

This is what I made:

I water colored the background and used an Impression Obsession Hydrangea set to stamp the stems and flower. I used the matching die to cut out the individual flowers and glued them to the stamped flower.  The jar is from Paper Smooches Crystal Clear, I embossed it with Ranger Platinum on vellum.  I added some sequins, and Diamond Stickles to the flowers for shine, but they really don't show up well

Fun Challenges

Hi,
I recently got this stamp from Art Impressions and I just love the many ways you can color it and change the way it looks. 

I watercolored the background and the image with distress inks and applied some sequins. I die cut Doodlebug Sprinkles vellum for the background.  I also added Wink of Stella to different sections.  This weeks challenge at AI is Sequins, so I plan to enter it there.  You know the little dots that come out of the middle of sequins?  I really love those,  I wish they sold those. :)   I had a few on here but some fell off, oh well. 

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is Anything Goes so I will enter it there too.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge-You Gotta Have Friends

Hello,
Today's post will be a submission for the SSS Wednesday Challenge-You Gotta Have Friends.  Art Impression stamps have a category that is called AI Friends.  Their stamps are so clever and funny, I just love them.  I water colored this stamp with Derwent Inktense Watercolor pencils. 

I just imagine these ladies sitting on the couch, gossiping away to each other.  This is one of my favorite AI Stamps.  I think I will send this to my girlfriend, I know she will get a kick out of it!

SSS Wednesday Challenge-Stencil It

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is Stencil It this week.  Details are here: Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.   I took an Online Card Class in stenciling a few months back and it was a great class, I learned a lot of great techniques.  This is what I created:

This is a Tim Holtz stencil and I blended distress inks to create the rays.  I splattered some distress ink on the front.  I also added some Mr. Huey's shine and sequins, to the card front.  The sentiment is from SSS.  I thought the letters were kinda dull, so I highlighted with a white gel pen.  I added some glitter paper to the bottom of  the white cardstock to pop it a little, although it is kinda hard to see. :)
It is cloudy and rainy today so no natural light to be able to  photograph all the shiny product I used on this card.   :/

Paper Smooches SPARKS: June 8-14 Picture Perfect Challenge

Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge for June 8-14 Picture Perfect Challenge uses this photo for inspiration:

This is what I created:

I used Paper Smooches Hullabaloo for the balloons  and then I colored in with Copics. I also drew the strings and the white highlight on the balloons with a white gel pen.   The sentiment is also stamped from Hullabaloo.  The birdie (adorable) was stamped from Spring Fling. I stamped him two times, once on the card front and then another I cut out, colored, mounted on foam squares and added a googly eyes.  Seriously if I can add googly eyes to something I will, it is an obsession. :)

Simon Says Stamp-Work It Wednesday Challenge May 2014

This card is for the SSS Work It Wednesday Challenge May 2014.  I just got a bunch of SSS products, including dies and stamps and I was itching to use them.  :)  And since that was theme (using SSS products) of this months challenge, I created this:

The enamel dots and vellum are from a recent SSS card kit.  The die is SSS Tall Flowers die and the sentiment is from SSS Friendship Messages.   I just love the beautiful font in this sentiment set.  The die is cut from craft cardstock and colored with copics and I added some jewels to the centers and applied some Wink of Stella to the leaves and flowers.

I used Paper Smooches Crystal Clear, Green Thumb and Sentiment Sampler stamp sets on this card.  I embossed the jar and the tomatoes with white embossing powder.  I colored the tomatoes with copics.

SSS suggested using Ranger products if possible.  I created this using Ranger Silver Embossing powder.

I used SSS Tri Circles die to cut out the circles and stamped the dots using Papertrey Ink Bits & Buttons.  D-A-D was stamped with SSS Sketchy Alphabet letters  embossed on vellum,  and placed behind the circles.
