Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge Aug. 23-29

Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge this week is A Designer Drafts Challenge.

When I saw this sketch I got an idea almost immediately.  This is my card.
I die cut two pieces of white cardstock with the SSS Stitched Rectangles dies, then ink blended the smaller rectangle with distress inks using Mowed Lawn and Abandoned Coral.  Washi tape in different designs was used to create the banners.  I die cut a Paper Smooches Thanks and put glossy accents on it to make it stand out a little more.

Lawnscaping Challenge #112

The Lawnscaping Challenge is all about embossing.  This link will take you to the details http://lawnscaping.blogspot.com/2015/08/lawnscaping-challenge-embossing.html

I do love to emboss, in any form.  This is the card I created.

I dry embossed the card front using a Sizzix embossing folder.  I colored some of the dots randomly on the card front.  The stamp set is Lawn Fawn's Friendship Grows.   I heat embossed the sunflower and leaf images, then colored them with copics.  I  put glossy accents in the center of the flowers, but it doesn't show up well in this photograph.  The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's Happy Everything (I use this constantly!)  I tied twine around the card front and used fun foam to attach it to the card base.

Thanks for coming by, I'll be back soon.

Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge Aug. 16-22

Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge   this week is Anything Goes.

I made this card using Paper Smooches Best Buds stamp set.

I used kraft cardstock and stamped  one of the flower images in the stamp set for the background and colored with Copics.  I heat embossed the sentiment on vellum and colored the back with Copics. I die cut the front with a SSS postage stamp die and used fun foam to mount it onto the kraft card base. I used Wink of Stella on the flowers and leaves but it doesn't show up :) and I added a few sequins.

Ellen Hutson's August Mix It Up Challenge

Ellen Hutson's Mix It Up Challenge is to create a card using a stamp from Ellen Hutson and also from a another collaborating manufacturer.  This challenge is with Clearly Besotted. See here for details.

I created this card for the challenge.

I used Clearly Besotted Miniature Floral Collection to stamp the flowers.  This is a beautiful stamp sets with lots of floral images. I stamped the flowers, colored with copics, fussy cut, and then tied with a piece of silver thread. The sentiment is from Ellen Hutson's 12 Days Companion by Julie Ebersole. This greeting set is fabulous with the 12 Days stamp set but also great on it's own.  The flowers are popped up on foam squares and the greeting is also on foam adhesive.  I added a few sequins and called it done.

Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge Aug 2-8

This weeks PS SPARKS challenge is Anything Goes.

This is the card I made:

This stamp set was a collaboration between Paper Smooches and Simon Says Stamp for their Stamptember event.

I think I was inspired by the washi tape (on the bottom of card), it is gold striped with pink and green shades it in.  All the balloons, the sentiment and the little dots were heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  I colored the turtle and shaded the balloons with copics.  I adhered the balloons with foam dots.

Thanks for coming by and be well.

OCC Background Check Day 6

Today's class demonstrated creating cards from the backgrounds made in the past two days.  I couldn't wait to get started.

I thought these backgrounds were so pretty I didn't want to cover them up so I used vellum to create sentiments.  Both of the sentiments are heat embossed with white embossing powder.  I used some sequins to accent on both cards.  The hearts were colored with copics and I used Wink of Stella and glossy accents on them.

I really enjoyed this class as I do all Online Card Classes, I can hardly wait until the next one.

Thanks for coming by, I'll be back soon.
