Today's lesson demonstrated interactive cards-sliders, pull tab and spinners. There are a lot of steps but once you have made a card with movement it gets easier. Actually, the step that took the most time was trying to get the penny into the slider, not that it was hard, but that I kept losing the penny!! I would drop it and it would roll to parts unknown in my craft room, I would get another one and it would happen again, and I really spent too much time looking for it. :) Anyway the next time I just grabbed 3 or 4 pennies and figured if I lost it again, they would be right there.
The stamp set is
Lawn Fawn's Toboggan Together. I used the sled, packages, penguin and tree images. I copic colored them and used some super fine glitter on the package bows. I also used a Spectrum Noir glitter pen (love it!). I attached the twine to the sled and the penguin and it does actually look like the penguin is pulling the sled when the slider moves. I had a good time making this (except for the penny incidents) :)
See you soon....
This is really cute! I may have to purchase that curved slider die. It gives you a little more variation that a straight cut. Good job!
ReplyDeleteI purchased the slider dies today and will get them Thursday. I have done slider cards in the past where I cut my slide area out by hand, what a hassle! And never tried curved ones so looking forward to it. Your card looks great. I know what you mean about spending all day on the card...I am still working on the 3D box card!
ReplyDeleteThis is fab! :)
