Online Card Class-Clean & Simple 3rd Day

Hello,
Today is the third day of lessons for Online Card Classes Clean & Simple.  All the lessons today were great, but I really liked what Laura Bassen demonstrated.  It was a simple card with a stamped background and a stamped greeting. The other cards demonstrated today were fabulous but I either lacked some piece of equipment or product to really do them justice so I didn't feel I could make the cards the way I would have wanted to.  Laura Bassen's card could be interpreted many ways and a variety of stamps could be used to achieve her results.  This is my interpretation of her card.

This card took very little time to make.  The longest process was the stamping.  This technique can be used in so many ways, I really can't wait to try it again with a different background stamp and maybe dots like Laura did.

I stamped the background and then the stars and then the greeting. No adhesive, no piecing, no die cutting-easy peasy!

I would like to try the other cards featured today, so I guess I have to update my wish list.   :)

Supplies Used:
Stamps: SSS Cupcake Party (stars), SSS Friend Flags (star), SSS Flower Friend (greeting)  Hero Arts Striped Background stamp
Inks: Hero Arts-Soft Pool, Tide Pool, Pale Tomato, Field Greens, Orange Soda & Butter Bar (stars)  Stampin' Up Crumb Cake (background)

  1. Lovely Card - love the colors you picked... I wanted to do stars on my card today as well, but I couldn't find any stars in my stash. So I had to pop over here and see what stamp set you used… Found out I do actually have that set from the card kits, so, thanks for the inspiration and for linking your stamp sets!!

  2. Oh wow it looks like your card classes are teaching some really cool techniques. Great job on the stamping. Can't get much easier than that and it looks fantastic. :-)
